WASTELAND HEROES ONSLAUGHT

Wasteland Heroes Onslaught

Written by Zaknafein on 19. July 2009 22:02

Wasteland Heroes (WH) is a GTA crew who has performed stuntjumps since 2005. In their newest movie, called Onslaught, they perform a variety of tricks using the GTA: San Andreas engine. The movie is made by Daffy, and editingwise it's pretty good, at least alot better than many of the other stuntmovies out there.

The movie starts with a nice machinima intro which acts to illustrate the title of the movie, I guess. After the intro we are shown the stunts, and with one or two exceptions most of them are pretty crazy. WH is a fairly big crew so the stunts are performed by several players, and the cameracontrol is great so you really get a good picture of the stunts (though I'll admit, as far as cameras go most GTA vids look the same).
I don't watch that many GTA movies, but still I'd say some of the stunts in this movie are pretty sick. By using rollboosting they perform a few extremely high altitude jumps. Sometimes the jumps looks easy, but believe me it's not. Remember, it's not just about jumping, it's also about landing. There is even a boat jump in the movie haha.

As far as editing goes I think Daffy did a good job. The stunts are synced to the music and there are several nice effects that are not overused. One small minus is the sometimes excessive use of replays. I know it was mostly done so the jumps could be properly synced to the music, but sometimes a jump or the run leading up to the jumps were repeated two times and I was like "let me see the damn thing already!".

In overall, I liked this movie. Daffy did a good job editing it and some of the stunts are just sick. If you like GTA stunt videos then you might want to check this one out. Daffy rendered the movie in several different qualities so if you have a piece of shit computer like me then don't download the HQ version.
