Overall, I am satisfied.

What?

Do you have to watch it with yo wife?

Lol, no, not at al.. But a movie like that is something I'd have to watch in my free time and I'd rather do something else (play a game, edit) when I have time to kill.  That means the only time I'd be able to watch it is when my wife is home and that's not going to happen :D

Awkward ambiguity detected.

Well, the Blade Runner movies aren't exactly... cheerful. So I reckon it would be difficult to persuade her. If I were to describe both movies in two words it would be:

Atmospheric and bittersweet.

If you plan to rewatch the original, I recommend the final cut version.

Danny Boyle has been officially confirmed for directing Bond 25, and presumably the final Bond role for Daniel Craig. I am cautiously optimistic.

I hear Christopher Nolan has been wanting to direct a Bond movie, and after Daniel Craig has been replaced by a new Bond, I suspect Nolan will take the opportunity to direct Bond 26. I am very much interested in what Nolan will do, and how he is going to top Casino Royale and Skyfall.

^ Dunno, that sounds insanely high.

Danny Boyle is no longer directing due to creative differences ... what the fuck studios!

Movie score highlights of 2018:

Annihilation: Almost all of it (and which introduced me to Moderat)
Upgrade: We Can't Let Them Win | A Better Place
Avengers: Infinity War: End credits | The Black Panther theme
Ant-Man & The Wasp: World's Greatest Grandma
Mandy (Jóhann Jóhannsson's final score): Children of the New Dawn | Forging the Beast
First Man: The Landing

Oscar nominations will probably be revealed soon, so time for predictions! Unfortunately 2018 hasn't been particularly interesting, so I have no idea. First Man might get a few nods, I guess.

Oscar nominations

Maybe Marvel will have a chance to win best visual effects with Infinity War, though I think the biggest competition will be First Man, even though the visuals weren't as grand as previous space movies such as The Martian, Interstellar or Gravity.

Black Panther got a lot of unexpected nods, I doubt it will win in any category though.

Joker [Teaser] Trailer

Oscar nomination for Joaquin Phoenix incoming?

I actually feel sorry for his character, taking care of his mom and trying to become a happier person, but gets beaten down by society. So far it looks like it could stand out compared to the rest of the CGI fests of superhero movies.

The cinematography looks gorgeous too.

Ah, this one looks quite promising. Seems very different from what I thought the film would be like, even though the film's style might be different from the teaser trailer.
