However, im wondering why he got two layers in AE? Cant figure out how the second one is recorded. Also, is It a must to use after effects or can it work in sony vegas?

One layer/stream is the entities (player models) only, and the second layer is the world layer/stream? :)

In Vegas it might look something like:

Layer 1: Entities (greenscreen, mask it with chroma keyer and turn them white)
Layer 2: world stream (with a greenscreen sky?)

Add some colour fx to the world stream to whatever colour you want. Not sure if gradient is the best way to go.

Okay. So, i dont quite get it. If i need to record the player model, do i need to setup my csgo/hlae in a different way? or i do i just record the same clip twice, or what do i do? :D

HLAE supports multi-streams, so you can record more than one stream at the same time.

Uh, for the images? Sure, if you want to convert them to a video file. HLAE will create a folder for each stream that you recorded.

did that help, Kev, or do you still not understand?  It seems to me that you don't quite know how the basic stream function works with HLAE.  If that's the case, I can point you to the HLAE manual where it instructs how to record basic entity matte and world matte streams.

You are right, i dont know how the streams work, but i figured that out. However, this tutorial seems to be outdated. The skybox dosen't turn green, just some buildings. Do you know a fix for that?

You can read about that at https://github.com/advancedfx/advancedfx/wiki/Tutorial:-CS:GO:-Replace-sky-with-mirv_streams-on-nuke---inferno---train

Looks like the stream command "skyboxtextureaction" will help achieve a green screen sky.

The fogui doesn't work? Edit: I tried it myself and got the same effect as you.

Another way to turn the sky green should be something like:

mirv_streams edit mw skyboxTexturesAction mask

"mw"
being the name of the matteWorld stream.

If you still see the clouds for example, there is a mat_suppress example in the linked tutorial above. It depends on what map you are on though.
