I strongly recommend using lower resolution due to other viewers. Personally I'm not able to watch an mp4 movie in full hd fluently. I'm sure that many people also .

All in all but I think that your auto bitrate reached the limit haha and that's why it's so laggy etc.

For my HD 720p is max for CS. I dont like that res but making a higher one is just stupidly. It is also a problem to work with it in your editing program, at least for me ( 19' LCD wide ) if you have about 28' so it's cool ;d

I would go for 1024x576 or simply HD 720p !

To be honest I don't like the autobitrate in Legion. I always type it myself. It's imo waaaaaayyy to big , always so that's why I want to use my own bitrate.
Quality was crappy ?
Well you need clean up the mess in your registry. Delete all codec-packs etc , not only from 'PC' but also Registry.

Follow all instructions @ Legion thread, you can also install Xvid if you want to.
It should work now :)

Thanks a lot, but something is still really really fucked up. =P
The quality was so crappy at even a high bit rate, I had to put it to like 50000 to make it look good, but a 12 sec clip at 78 mb is not very appreciated. :d
And it still didn't look good though, this is something else than the quality though, I've no idea what it is. I even tried to encode at my school laptop, same thing, have to use extremely high bit rate, but the other strange stuff wasn't there though. And there is no way that it is a big mess of codecs on that laptop, neither on my PC, I haven't installed many codecs at all. Am I missing some codecs? I just have to get this to work proper. Take a look at these screenshots where that strange shit appear.

I used HD 720p like you said btw.

The hud has got weird lines on it, etc:

And here you can clearly see "broken pixels" (whatever you want to call it) at the fade out of the clip:

When I play the clip with VLC it freezes for some seconds and looks like this directly after that:

Btw:
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
GFX: Nvidia GeForce 8800GTX

I'm gonna take a guess and say it's your graphics card but I really don't have a clue, that's some fucked up quality though.

Yeah, ok.. but it's strange that I have got the same results with my school laptop, extremely crappy quality. It has got an integrated graphics card though, but would that really affect the quality?
I have got lots of downloaded CS movies on my other HDD, I play them without any problems.

Or give up and save your porn.

Now seriously, how do you captured the scene?
I remember a long time ago when I captured something with FRAPS and used a stupid codec instead uncompressed I've got a similar problem.

The name of the game is Serious Sam - The Second Encounter.

I capture the frames, 60 fps with a command that you can write in the game like you do with Counter-Strike, then I fix the rest in VirtualDub and render as uncompressed, edit in Vegas and render as uncompressed again. The quality gets fucked up under the encoding.

Hey slize or anyone, can't you please take your time to download this 3 sec uncompressed clip I uploaded and encode it on your PC? It would be really interesting for me to see what it would look like.
I'm just walking around, it's a little bit in slow motion.
Some stuff is flickering a bit on the map, but I have to fix the advanced gfx settings in the game.

Thanks in advance.
