Water effect

#1 - 6. Apr 2009 12:16
HAI,

I am just wondering how to get a water effect such as used in this movie: http://www.sourceradio.com/modules.php?name=Vault&page=watch&id=1564 (Source sucks I agree)

I know Newblue has something close, but is this implemented in AE or something, can't recall seeing it in vegas. Any tips or whatever is appreciated!

That can be done in Vegas by using a plugin called - Spice Master . You have to play around a bit .

You want that water effects as in intro ? I've only watched few seconds .

Watch more than a few seconds :p it's during the WHOLE movie, given the name "Lequify".

Who said I was going to use it every second of a movie, I am just simply asking how to create that type of effect.

the movie he linked to uses it throughout, you said that "WOULD" be annoying, implying annoying on something that hasn't already been made -> ie his movie. But he's not going to use it as much as the video he posted

edit: oh and pray has it^

The thing I hate about water/ripple effects is that they pretty much always look like they don't belong. Especially if they're used often, the same 2D effect on top of everything else just doesn't look good.

Then again I don't remember having seen it in any movies I've really liked so maybe the potential in the effect isn't fully realised.
Be creative.

With a snappy comment like that I think I'm gonna have water effects coming right out of my eyes.
