My only problem with the result is that the colours got alot brighter, looks almost plain some places. It didnt turn out like that on my previous render with another codec. So is there something I can do to make it better in the settings or should I turn everything darker and let the preview screen be pretty damn dark? Here's some vegas preview screens, the result is much brighter. Any soloutions?

THNX, read some more about refs and i see why you use 9 or more on low res

changing the level to 4.0 might also help DXVA ( read ripbot thread )
btw i like CQ over 2 pass, its the same quality and faster encoding.

Unfortunately this guide is so old that the "additional files" are not online anymore. However I would be pretty interested in those. Would be great if someone uploads something alike again :>
