kuLi - The Movie
by Moltes

I started the movie in February, and now I would like to present it. During the making of the film, kuLi gave me a lot of ideas, that I realised. I (or we) concentrated more on the frags, less on the effects .I got the demos sorted and the music ready because he mixed it earlier, so I only had to concentrate on the editing.

Next time you use an animation of someone else, make sure to give an URL with the video. Otherwise people might start to think you actually made the scene at the very beginning by yourself:> http://www.trapcode.com/gallery/polar2007_h.mov

To the movie itself. I'm sorry to say this, but half of the movie was pretty boring, and the other half was utterly entertaining. From the Ray Charles section until the end it was absolutely pleasant, an own style, some really cool ideas (especially the very last part with the replaced HUD [I assume it was Doom, wasn't it?]). The intro (apart form the ripped animation) was pretty neat as well, but I absolutely disliked the music choice in the first frag part. It's just some random progressive trance or how you call it with frags over frags. If the whole style of the movie would have been as humouristic as the last part, it would have been a definite keeper for me. This way, I'll probably keep it for a few days/watches and unfortunately for me and you delete it thereafter.

However, overall I was surprised not to see a total crap movie (because that's what we mostly see lately). Keep it up, and stick to your own style. It's always better to dare something and risk to "lose", than repeat and copy the same concepts over and over again. I hope you keep on developing your ideas.
